The Hadwear Studio

Premium architectural hardware solutions for home and office spaces

Project Story

Overview

A headless e-commerce storefront for an architectural hardware brand. It gives customers a fast product browsing experience while letting the team manage products from WooCommerce.

Problem

The Challenge

The client needed the best of both worlds — a modern, fast-loading frontend that looks and feels premium, and a familiar backend system where they could manage hundreds of product SKUs, pricing, and inventory on their own. Building a traditional WooCommerce theme would sacrifice frontend quality. A fully custom Next.js build without a CMS would burden the client with developer dependency for every catalog update.

Execution

My Approach

I implemented a headless WooCommerce architecture. WordPress and WooCommerce handle everything on the backend — product management, pricing, inventory, and orders — while Next.js builds a completely custom frontend consuming the WooCommerce REST API. This gives the client their familiar admin dashboard while delivering a premium, fast customer experience on the frontend.

Highlights

Key Features

  • Premium architectural hardware — handles, hinges, locks, accessories

  • Headless WooCommerce — client manages products independently

  • Category-based browsing with finish and material filtering

  • High-resolution product photography with specification details

  • ISR for real-time product updates without full rebuilds

  • Enquiry and order flow for architectural hardware

Outcome

Results

The Hadwear Studio launched with a storefront that looks completely custom and premium while running on a backend system the client already knows how to use. The headless architecture eliminates developer dependency for catalog management while delivering the frontend quality that a premium hardware brand demands.
