Universal Travel & Tourism
Complete travel solutions — passport, visa, tours & bookings across India and beyond
Overview
A travel and tourism platform for customers to explore tour packages, visa help, and booking services in one place. It helps the travel team manage content easily while giving visitors a faster way to discover and enquire.
Challenge
Universal Travel & Tourism needed a platform that could showcase hundreds of tour packages — domestic trips to Shimla, Kerala, and Rajasthan, and international packages to Bali, Dubai, Europe, and Bhutan — while also clearly communicating their documentation services like passport assistance, visa processing, and flight, bus, and hotel bookings. The challenge was handling high-resolution travel imagery without hurting performance, keeping content fresh daily without developer help, and building trust with first-time travelers who needed to feel confident before booking.
Approach
I chose a headless WordPress + Next.js architecture. WordPress handles the content — the Universal Travel & Tourism team can add new packages, update itineraries, and publish blog posts without touching any code. Next.js uses Static Site Generation for tour package pages so they load instantly, and the Image component handles lazy loading and WebP conversion automatically. The design is clean, warm, and destination-focused — every page is built to make the traveler feel excited and reassured at the same time.
